Two bedrooms, a sunset terrace, four guests. The smaller of the two houses, with the more honest light.
L'Abricot is the south-western of the two houses. It gets the warm evening light — and the terrace where, glass of rosé in hand, you watch the sky slow down over the plateau.
The house spreads across one level: two bedrooms, one bathroom, and an open living space with kitchen. High ceilings, thick walls, windows large enough that in August you can still read at half past six without switching on a lamp.
The bedrooms hold the same Hilton Sleeper mattresses found in the better city hotels. The kitchen has what you actually use — induction, a dishwasher, a serious pan, a DeLonghi espresso machine, ground coffee from a small roastery in Manosque.
The bathroom is rough plaster and travertine, with a rain shower and organic toiletries — no plastic bottles.
Outside the garden starts at the terrace. Olive trees, ribbons of lavender, a stretch of meadow. The pool — five by nine metres, shared with the sister house — sits a few steps away, screened by a stone wall.
Best suited for couples, small families (two adults plus two children), two travelling couples. For travellers who don’t want a boutique hotel, but a temporary home.
